Hello friends! We would just like to say welcome to our new followers, and thank you to all of you, there are more than a hundred of you now! We are glad that you like our blog :)
Also, we wanted to say a few things about tags:
-If there is any content you would like us to tag with trigger warnings, please tell us! We are happy to do it. Your well-being is important to us.
-Also, if there are any posts that you think are relevant to a particular situation, please tell us and we will add that tag! (For example, if something is tagged with #anxiety, but you think tagging it #eating disorders would also be relevant)
Thank you friends! We hope you have a lovely night (or whatever time it is where you are)
Anonymous asked: Dinosaurs, I just got my hair cut really short and I don't like it. I think that it makes me look like a guy. I'm worried people will make fun of me at school. What should I do?
Hi anon! First off, we just want to say that we think you look lovely today. We’re sorry your haircut didn’t turn out the way you wanted - that’s hard, especially if you already don’t always feel great about the way you look. But, it won’t last forever, it will grow out, and it someday won’t matter any more. Our human had a really bad haircut in the ninth grade, but now she can just look back at it and laugh. If you’re worried about looking like a boy because you have short hair - lots of girls have short hair! Look at Anne Hathaway and Emma Watson! My human also recommends cute headbands, or maybe a pretty silk scarf, if you want to dress up your hair. Finally, worrying about being made fun of at school: I understand why you feel that way, because kids at school can be mean sometimes. But if people are going to make fun of you because of your hair, they probably aren’t people you really want to be friends with anyways. Also: at least 90% of looking rad is thinking you look rad. If you walk into school on Monday thinking “My hair is super cool and edgy and I’m a mega babe”, people will pick up on that confidence, and probably think “man, that’s cool hair. They rocks it well”.
Best of luck and much love, Anon,
[I wish I could just eat up all those bad thoughts that are making you sad. But I can’t, so - please - try not to listen to them. They are WRONG!]
"Please don’t feel guilty for taking time to do the things that make you happy. Taking care of yourself is important. You MATTER. "
We’re sorry that we’ve been a little bit absent lately. Our human has been pretty busy, but we’ve been reminding her that it’s important for her to take time for herself to do the things she enjoys(like drawing) and we’re hoping to be back in the next couple of days!

(When you get sad because you think your friends are more talented or accomplished than you, try to remember this: “everyone you will ever meet knows something you don’t”. But from that, also remember that YOU know something every person you meet doesn’t. Wouldn’t it be boring if we were all good at the same things?! We could never learn from each other, never experience new beauty. The things we value most in our friends are the things we can’t do - and that’s ok! It’s great that our friends are better at some things than us: we get to enjoy their talents! But also remember that YOU ARE GOOD AT THINGS TOO. It’s just easy to forget, because you’re so used to your own talents, you don’t think of them as strengths.)
